Animating for a loved one

I find myself better able to express feelings through visuals and animation; this is my favourite gift I can send to people important in my life. I used a range of tools but Blender, Substance Painter and After Effects were particularly handy.

This particular person just so happens to adore shrimp and general sea life!

Museum of Cds.

Advertising my own exhibition:

As part of a creative brief with Bath Spa University, I took on the task of creating advertisements for 'The Museum of CDs,' centered around the history and influence of CDs. The project granted us complete creative freedom in terms of content and approach.

Working independently, I handled all aspects of the project, from storyboarding and 3D modeling to rigging, animation, and editing. I crafted an engaging advert for 'The Museum of CDs,' with the song 'Dance Wiv Me' by Dizzee Rascal enhancing the pacing and transitions.

The outcome was lauded as a 'rich visual feast' by the design team, effectively conveying the Museum of CDs' premise through my adept use of 3D animation and editing skills. Additionally, I produced a series of high-quality 3D models for independent sale. To accomplish this, I utilized Blender 3D, After Effects, and the Adobe Creative Suite to create both the advertisements and the associated 3D models.

Cosmic ‘doodler’

Animating a self portrait using TREX’s ‘Cosmic Dancer’

In my free time, I immerse myself in projects driven by a passion for visualizing creative ideas that spring to mind; I particularly enjoy crafting animations that respond to sound and music. I thought this TREX song fit well with my feelings towards the practise of doodling.

Creating an ice berg logo

A TFL poster I mocked up using Photoshop after being inspired by their ‘fare freeze’ advertisements on my tube journeys.

amazon bookshelf

A reband for amazon

As part of a creative project with Bath Spa University I created the concept and branding for a new amazon spinoff service ‘amazon bookshelf’. I wanted to put attention back onto amazon’s roots as an online bookstore with a minimalistic but effective rebrand. The logo received high praise for its focused design.

MECHA MAGAZINE

Delving into Mecha Sci-Fi

In 2022, I delved into the culture of 'Mecha' Sci-Fi, crafting a 'zine' that melded editorial design with 3D illustrations of imaginative Mecha Robots. The resulting magazine utilized Blender 3D, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign to highlight the rich history and cultural significance of Mecha Sci-Fi, particularly its origins in Japan.

BATH FRINGE COMPETITION

A poster inspired by Bath’s History

I was shortlisted for Bath Fringe, aiming to create a poster for the festival. My entry combined elements of the festival's activities with Bath's iconic architecture. The final poster incorporated 3D renders showcasing Bath's Roman and Georgian history and featured objects symbolizing festival events.
